Human Biology is a Level five Zoology course of the BSc Programme. This course provides understanding of the special place the human, Homo sapiens sapiens, has achieved in the animal kingdom. It describes how the anatomically modern human evolved and emphasises the uniqueness of the human condition and characteristics. To provide a better understanding of how the human body functions and to help make decisions on human health and safety, this course also covers the different organ systems of humans and their interrelations. Thus, it covers a range of topics to help one grasp the essence of what it means to be human.
