This is a compulsory course in the second year and credit weightage of this subject is 4. This subject is very much important in relation to criminal justice administration and it aims to discuss the historical development and conceptual linkages and universalization of Human Rights and to analyze the international human rights obligations of States. Specially it discusses the international standards in protecting human rights relating to Criminal Justice Administration. After learning this course students will be able to analyze the specific rights guaranteed in the criminal justice process and evaluate the domestic mechanisms developed to promote and protect the human rights.
