The Engineering Research Project (ERP) is a compulsory course in the B. Tech. (Eng.) programme placed at Level 07 with 8 Credits according to the Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF), where the student is expected to demonstrate that the overall aims and objectives of the programme have been achieved. The Engineering Research Project is considered as an individual project, in which a single student works on a single project, under the guidance of a Supervisor from the Academic Staff of the Department. Sometimes, depending on the nature of the project an outside member nominated by the Department, may act as an external supervisor.
