DMX5313 is a level 5 course which is compulsory for students who register for Bachelor of Technology honors in Mechatronics Engineering. The course is designed to deliver the fundamental principles of switching power semiconductors in order to control the electrical power or the electrical energy flow, in addition to that the working principles of switching power supplies, power converters, power inverters and motor drives are taken into account. A student is expected to spend 250 notional hours as the credit rating of the course is 5.
