Soils and Plant Growth (BYU5304) is a Level 5 optional course for the students who offer Botany as a subject in the B.Sc. Degree Programme. The prerequisites of this course is the valid Overall Continuous Assessment Mark(OCAM) for the BYU5300. However, this course unit is a compulsory course for the students who offer B.Sc.(Special) degree in Botany(S1 structure) of the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
This course will give you an understanding on how soils are originated, the properties of soil, contributions made by soil for the growth of plants and the impacts of human activities on the soil quality.
